This training seminar includes the American Red Cross "Adult & Pediatric Basic First Aid / CPR / AED course" the ACS "Stop The Bleed course" and the USCCA’s "Building Emergency First Aid Kits course." These courses were “bundled” in this format to offer shooters and Firearms Instructors a convenient way to gain valuable knowledge, and acquire nationally recognized certificates, so they may be better prepared to handle medical emergencies both on and off the firearms range, and throughout their daily lives.
This seminar teaches easy‑to‑understand methods you can use to increase awareness and prevent criminal confrontation. In just four hours, you will get the tools you need to develop your own personal safety strategy, including information about: Criminal Mindset; Home, Auto, Travel, Personal, & Technological Security; Self‑Defense Devices and Training Options.
The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events course, (C.R.A.S.E.) which is frequently requested by schools, businesses, and houses of Worship, is designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy developed by A.L.E.R.R.T. in 2004, provides strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills.
In an American College of Surgeons "Stop the Bleed" course, you’ll learn three quick and simple techniques to help save a life before someone bleeds out: (1) How to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound; (2) How to pack a wound to control bleeding; (3) How to correctly apply a tourniquet. These three techniques will empower you to assist in an emergency and potentially save a life. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate from the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.
This comprehensive seminar will teach students what to look for as potential indications of violence; what factors do, and don’t affect the outcome at mass shooting events; and what steps must be taken at every school, house of worship, as well as every public and private business to truly counter this threat. Students will receive a USCCA “Countering the Mass Shooter Threat” textbook and a course completion certificate.
The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
