FIREARMS COURSES

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience.  This course covers a variety of topics including: Safety; handgun operation; fundamentals of shooting; ammunition; and handgun care & maintenance.  Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, and receive a course completion certificate.

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals - Level 1 will guide you through the steps you'll need to take to go from just sending rounds downrange to actually training in specific, tested methods of armed self-defense.  Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1 will help you hone the edge on your inner warrior expert. You'll learn to apply this information simply and effectively - regardless of your skill level.

In this 9-10 hour course Range Safety Officer (RSO) candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures; range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions.  After successfully completing this course, you will be a Nationally Certified NRA Range Safety Officer.

The NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. This course covers a variety of topics including: Safety; rifle operation; fundamentals of shooting; ammunition; and rifle care & maintenance.  Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, and receive a course completion certificate.

We offer a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment.  The information in this course is designed to reach everyone, from those who are new to firearms, to those who are ready to learn more about defensive shooting and take the next step with their firearm skills, tools and mindset.  Students will receive the USCCA “Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals” textbook and a course completion certificate.

This is the perfect course for new firearms owners.  In this short four-hour course, students are taught the fundamentals for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents, and how to avoid them; firearm familiarization; cleaning; care; and safe storage of firearms in the home. Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, and a Course Completion Certificate.
